About the Data
Data shared in the table above are select results from the 2015 Farm to School Census. Note, as you narrow your search results using the various filters, data from only those schools and school districts that responded to any given question will be displayed. In many instances, respondents did not provide answers for every question asked on the Farm to School Census.
Data regarding the total number of schools per district, the total number of students per district, and the percent of students receiving free or reduced price meals as part of the National School Lunch Program were added to the Census data set using the Common Core of Data (CCD) from the National Center for Education Statistics. This data is available in the CCD for select respondents. Reported information for the total food cost, total dollars spent on local food, and percent of total food dollars spent on local food are for the 2013-14 school year.
All of the information collected through the Farm to School Census is self-reported and may conflict with other data sources. For more information about the Farm to School Census, please click here.
